Markus Gornik has been Programme Coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Redesigning the Post-Industrial City (EMJM RePIC) at the Institute of Geography, Ruhr University Bochum, since August 2026. Previously, he worked there as a research associate from 2020 while completing his PhD on the governance of regional sustainability transformations. His research and teaching focus on transformative governance, transdisciplinary urban and regional research, as well as praxeological and arts-based research approaches.
